Associate Compliance AnalystOwings Mill, MD (3 days in office per week)Contract-to-HirePay Rate: $28.00 – $32.00/hr (Depending on Experience – 40hr/week)We seek to hire an Associate Compliance Analyst to support our client's Cybersecurity & Compliance organization. This role sits at the intersection of IT, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. As an Associate Compliance Analyst, you would act as a liaison between internal IT partners and external auditors. You would play a key role in building documentation, developing repeatable process, and helping established a sustainable internal compliance framework.If you are interested in learning more, we encourage you to apply!QualificationsBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field0–2 years of experience in compliance, IT audit, cybersecurity, or a related function (internship experience counts)Exceptional attention to detail and organizationComfort reading and interpreting IT controls and financial compliance frameworks; prior SOX knowledge is a plus, not a requirementProficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power Automate, SailPoint, or audit management tools is a bonusStrong written communication skills for documentation development and audit correspondenceAbility to work independently within a small team environment while managing multiple concurrent workstreamsNice to haveExposure to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance, NERC CIP, or other regulatory frameworksFamiliarity with Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) concepts or toolsUnderstanding of access management principles and application security controlsRelevant coursework or certifications in cybersecurity (Security+, CISA, etc.)Responsibilities:Serve as a liaison between IT partners and external auditors supporting SOX compliance activities across financial applicationsSupport quarterly access reviews across 100+ system requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all submissionsDevelop and maintain compliance documentation, process workflows, and control narrativesPrepare and organize audit packets for SOX and application-specific audits, ensuring submissions are thorough and error-freeWork within identity governance tools including SailPoint (IGA) to support access review workflowsSupport the migration of compliance workflows from InfoPath to Power Automate (Microsoft)Utilize Excel for data tracking, audit coordination, and reporting across the team's compliance workloadOperate within the Audit Board platform to manage and track audit schedules and deliverablesWhat's in It for You?
