Overview In this role you will build production autonomy software that controls USV/ underwater vehicles and maritime autonomous systems. You’ll translate high-level autonomy requirements into robust, testable code running on Linux-based hardware in unforgiving environments. You’ll work end-to-end from design through deployment, owning features that affect mission success. This is fielded, hands-on engineering where software directly interfaces with real hardware and mission-critical outcomes. You’ll join a fast-moving team focused on delivering reliable autonomy with discipline and accountability. ResponsibilitiesDevelop mission-critical autonomy software using modern C++ and Python on Linux-based systemsTranslate system intent into executable software with clear, testable implementationsArchitect and evolve scalable autonomy frameworks across multiple vehicle platformsShip features by integrating, validating, and deploying code with ownership from design to deploymentCollaborate in technical debates, design reviews, and trade studies to address real constraintsMentor junior engineers and raise the team's technical rigor and execution velocityOwn quality by writing meaningful unit and integration tests, diagnosing failures, and addressing root causesCoordinate with systems, hardware, and test engineers to ensure proper integration into larger real-world systemsImprove build, tooling, and processes in an Agile, iterative environment Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 12-15 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 10-13 years of experienceCurrent Secret clearanceProficient in modern C++ on Linux with strong performance, memory management, and code qualityAbility to design clean, maintainable systems and make sound tradeoffs under real constraintsFamiliarity with MBSE concepts and tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw) and how software fits into larger architecturesExperience in virtualized or containerized environments (VMware, Docker)Experience in Agile or iterative development environments with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket or equivalentsStrong communication skills to explain complex ideas to diverse stakeholdersProfessional integrity, ownership, and accountabilityclear communicationownership and accountabilitycollaboration across disciplinesC++ (modern) on LinuxPythonMBSE concepts/tools (Cameo, MagicDraw)
