Precision Machine Operator

About the Role We are seeking skilled machinists to produce precision components. In this role, you will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments, contributing to the creation of high-quality products. Your expertise in CNC machining and close tolerance work will be essential to our success. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including but not limited to horizontal boring mills, vertical boring mills, and lathes, to meet production needs. Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to accurately machine parts, ensuring adherence to specifications. Conduct thorough quality checks using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to required tolerances. Maintain equipment and perform necessary repairs, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime. Troubleshoot machining issues and implement effective solutions to maintain production efficiency. Work with ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma plus completion of a four-year machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experience. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Experience with manual machining skills. Due to certain project requirements, candidates must be US citizens. Preferred Skills Six years of machining experience. CNC programming experience is a plus. Experience operating multi-axis milling and turning equipment. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
