Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:The product development engineer participates in the implementing and developing new products and services. Responsible for major aspects required for the planning, design, development, processing, and the testing elements of projects. Supports strategic management decisions by identifying, maintaining, evaluating information, and recommending actions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, track, and maintain major project plans with clear milestones, goals, and progress v. planOrganize project requirement reviews, design revies, and project meetings with stakeholdersTrack and report on supply chain, production, and engineering progress schedule, costs, and deliverablesManage project closure with a successful transition to productionDevelop repair instructions and provide training and guidance to personnelPerform final review of documents and successful implementationEDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required Minimum 5 years’ engineering or related technical experience requiredQUALIFICATIONS: Technical writing expertiseRequires self-starter skills and the ability to investigate the problem statement for each condition, part, and proposed solutionAbility to thrive in a team environment that requires peer reviews and cross-functional sharing of infoTechnical and operational understanding of various maintenance operation processing techniques, and mechanical systemsKnowledgeable in computer applications relating to the job including, Microsoft Office Suite, CAD/CAM software, and other aerospace applications Project management skills including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver timely resultsAble to run analytical justifications through hand calculations. FEA software experience is a plusUnderstanding of production processes, OEM manual data, and proper use of GD&TAble to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsGood communication skills including written and verbalTextron Aviation Inc. must comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations.
