Tourism + Partnership Sales Intern - Fall 2026
September 2026 - February 2027Traditional schedule will be Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm, with the exception of some evenings, weekends, and holidays required for onsite and offsite events.PURPOSE:This internship will assist and support the partnership sales team, consisting of Group Sales, Tourism and Corporate Sponsorship teams. Partnership Sales Intern will assist in executing agreements, internal group sales functions, client communication and assist in special projects that help generate revenue and grow partnerships. Assist in and manage tasks to grow skill set in time management, prioritization, internal + external communication and collaboration.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist sales representatives in all areas of group sales and tourism, including answering incoming calls, working with clients, the development of sales collateral, direct mail campaigns, etc.Assist with questions and bookings for Nickelodeon Universe, Moose Mountain Adventure Golf, Adventure Bay and Crayola birthday parties.Responsible for planning, organizing, and executing group sales internal events. Assist with larger events as needed.Enter and generate new leads & client information for team CRM (client relationship management) database.Attend internal meetings to ensure communication of event details to other departments.May attend local trade shows and/or Familiarization tours promoting Mall of AmericaAssist with creating the MOA coupon book.Create VIP Shopping package vouchers for groups and events.Manage fulfillment for tour group visits.Manage EMT (Explore Minnesota Tourism) brochure program.Manage fulfillment of third-party resale ticket orders.Assist in creating recap decks for partner events and activations.Assist with management of digital advertisement schedules and capturing proof of performance.Other special projects as assigned.PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:Recent graduate or currently pursuing degree in Marketing, Advertising, Hospitality, Event Management.Excellent communication skillsStrong organization skillsProficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office and ExcelAssertive with a "can do" attitude and able to work independently as well as be a team player.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidaysConsistent and reliable transportation required to attend various off-site eventsPHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:Sitting - OccasionallyWalking - FrequentlyStanding + moving - FrequentlyPerform repetitive motion using keyboard/phone - FrequentlyReach at or below shoulder level - FrequentlyStoop and squat - OccasionallyLifting/carry up to 20 pounds - OccasionallyKneel and bend - OccasionallyReach at or above shoulder level - Occasionally
