Pioneer Stone – Automation & Maintenance TechnicianAutomated Brick & Stone Veneer Manufacturing FacilityPosition OverviewPioneer Stone is seeking a skilled Automation & Maintenance Technician to support our state-of-the-art automated manufacturing facility producing high-quality brick and stone veneer products. This role is critical to ensuring maximum equipment uptime, production efficiency, and product quality through advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated systems.Core Technical ExperienceCandidates should have experience, training, or working knowledge in the following areas:Automation sequencing and system integrationPneumatics (compressed air systems and controls)Hydraulics (fluid power systems including oil and water-based applications)Mechanical systems (conveyors, chains, valves, motors, and production machinery)PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), including diagnostics and troubleshootingPreferred / Developable SkillsThe ideal candidate demonstrates the ability and willingness to grow in:Equipment analytics and root cause analysis of production or machining issuesInterpreting control logic, electrical schematics, and fault codesDrives and modules (setup, function, and command structures)Sensors, encoders, and pressure systems, including ratio and calibration understandingKey ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtimePerform PLC troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve system faultsExecute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performanceInstall, commission, and upgrade manufacturing equipment and automation systemsMaintain continuous operation of production lines by responding to breakdowns with urgency and precisionManage spare parts inventory to support rapid repairs and reduce production interruptionsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, labor, and materials usedRead and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operational documentationCollaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiencyWorking environment is not climate controlledDaily ExpectationsCommunicate effectively across maintenance, production, and leadership teamsDemonstrate initiative as a self-starter while contributing to a team-oriented environmentOperate and maintain general machine shop equipment safely and effectivelyMaintain a strong attendance record and commitment to reliabilityUphold safety standards and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient work environmentWhy Pioneer StoneJoin a company built on craftsmanship, innovation, and operational excellence.
