The BT/RBT does not design intervention or assessment plans. The supervising BCBA determines and assigns tasks for the BT/RBT to perform as a function of higher training, experience, and competency levels.Work directly under the supervision of the BCBAHelp implement the treatment plan developed by the BCBA, parents, and therapistsAssist in observational assessments with the BCBAPrepare materials as needed for sessionsImplement appropriate teaching procedures determined by supervising BCBAMaintain HIPAA compliance, child/employee confidentialityMaintain visual supervision of the child at all times; NEVER leaving a child unattendedRepresent the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive wayMaintain a clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary learning environmentWork with supervisor to develop high level of behavior analytic expertise and grow in practice and performanceReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma / GEDComplete 40 hours of paid training by supervising BCBA- must be completed within 90 day period once hiredPass the RBT competency assessment conducted by supervising BCBAPass the RBT exam through BACB to become a Registered Behavior TechnicianPass a criminal background check and drug screenAnnual Requirements:Pass the RBT competency assessment conducted by supervising BCBAComplete annual renewal through BACBReceive ongoing supervision and comply with BACB's ethics requirementsPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing. The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be comfortable around standard farm animals, including minimal allergies to touching, smelling, feeding, and engaging with animals.
