NO C/COnly W2Only Locals to Boston, MASenior Software Engineer (Python / AWS)Boston, MA Hybrid, onsite Monday–Wednesday6+ months contract with extensions We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a technology team supporting front-office investment functions, including trading teams, portfolio managers, and quantitative professionals.The ideal candidate brings strong software engineering experience across .NET Core/C#, Python, AWS, and SQL, along with experience developing and supporting applications within an investment management environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain applications supporting front-office investment teams.Build and enhance solutions using .NET Core/C#, Python, AWS, and SQL.Maintain and improve existing core business applications.Develop and deploy applications within AWS cloud environments.Work with modern cloud and DevOps technologies including Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.Partner closely with technology teams, portfolio managers, traders, quants, and other business stakeholders.Contribute to application architecture, technical design, and engineering best practices.Qualifications10+ years of software development experience.Strong Python development experience.Strong experience with AWS and cloud-based application development.Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases.Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Understanding of cloud monitoring, logging, and security practices.Experience within investment management, asset management, or similar investment-focused environments strongly preferred.Experience supporting front-office functions such as trading, portfolio management, or quantitative teams highly preferred.Strong understanding of modern software design principles and engineering practices.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
