Paint Prep Technician

Staff Management SMX - - Responsibilities: Review checklist and follow work order instructions to ensure compliance with specifications; Transport transformer units to their assigned area in the paint department by utilizing material handling equipment (forklift, crane, etc.); Prepare transformer unit for paint by removing stickers, sticker glue, applying filler, taping, sanding, and cleaning; Perform quality checks and verify unit is not leaking before it leaves the area for paint; Following all safety protocols which includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), respirator, glove, safety glasses, etc.
