SYSTRA's broad project experience offers extraordinary career development opportunities for our employees.SYSTRA's Construction Management unit is seeking Office Engineers - Field to support our current rail mass transit construction projects in operating railroad environments in the New York City Area.Responsibilities:The Office Engineer - Field, under the direction of a Project Manager, will:Use Established Software and Databases in the Performance of Document Control FunctionsReceive, Distribute, and Respond to Contractor Submittals/DeliverablesArrange Meetings as required with client Engineering and Construction Management PersonnelWrite Memos, Letters, and Meeting Minutes relevant to Project ActivitiesUtilize Expertise and Experience to Assist in Timely Resolution of Project IssuesAccept Flexible Work Hours including Occasional Nights and Weekends when necessaryGenerate Weekly and Monthly Project Summary ReportsAssist the Project Manager in Managing Various Project MeetingsAssist in Change Order NegotiationsMaintain a Computer-Based Digital Photo Record of Construction ProgressQualifications:Minimum Five (5) years of engineering experienceBachelors degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferredExperience and Proficiency with one or more project management software packages such as Expedition, Prolog or Constructware.Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointGood verbal and written communication skillsSYSTRA offers a range of competitive benefits including health insurance, life insurance, PTO/holidays, 401(k) with employer match, short-term/long-term disability, commuter assistance program, tuition reimbursement, and more!
