Job Title: Custodian w/ Floor MaintenanceDepartment: Custodial - Operations (CFL)FLSA Status: Non-ExemptSpectrum Management, LLC has been serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area for over 25 years and provides a comprehensive array of services that include construction management, facilities management and real estate development services.Spectrum Management is seeking a Custodian for primary cleaning responsibilities as well as providing overnight floor cleaning/maintenance coverage for high traffic areas in one of our key locations in Washington, D.C.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Must be available to work standard shift: Sunday - Thursday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pmRole is also responsible for providing overnight (11:00 pm – 7:30 am) floor cleaning/maintenance coverage intermittently as needed. Floor duties include:Utilizing commercial floor maintenance equipment to perform floor care dutiesCleaning assigned carpeted areas using appropriate techniques and equipmentBuffing, waxing and polishing floors as needed to maintain condition and environment. Sweeping, dusting, mopping and clearing facility spaces as assigned. Follows and completes the facility’s daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule as assigned by Custodial Supervisor. Collects and disposes of all facility garbage, disinfecting receptacles as appropriateWashes bathroom, kitchen, classroom and other windows (inside and outside) and walls as scheduled or neededVacuums all carpeting dailyPerforms other cleaning duties as assignedEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)3 years experience in the custodial field. General applicable knowledge of professional cleaning methodsFloor Maintenance experience including buffering, stripping and waxing with proper equipment maintenance required.
