Tax Manager
Long Island CPA firm is seeking an Tax Manager due to recent growth! In this role, you will be responsible for providing tax and accounting services to a variety of small businesses and individuals throughout the NY Metro area.Note - this is an in-office position requiring 5 days of on-site presence in Hauppauge, NY.Key Responsibilities:Process daily transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entriesEnsure accurate and timely maintenance of financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank accountsPrepare and review both individual and business tax returns including 1040, 1065 and 1120Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for clients, ensuring accuracy and completenessOversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records for clientsCollaborate with other members of the finance team to resolve any issues and ensure the integrity of financial informationStay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement any necessary changesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accountingMinimum of 7+ years of relevant experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance requirementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to clientsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlinesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting software, QuickBooks a plus
