Machine Maintenance Mechanic

Job DescriptionKeeps machinery and mechanical operating by completing preventive maintenancerequirements on motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; Repairs machinery and mechanical equipment by observing mechanical devices inoperation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments;dismantling devices, adjusting controls. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determineinventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; Documents maintenance services by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions,irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintain work area in a safe, clean and organized condition by adhering to thecompany’s safety standards and policies, following prescribed safety regulations andalerting the appropriate person regarding potential concerns.Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalency required. Minimum 1 – 3 Years Maintenance Related Experience.Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have competent verbal and written communication skills to communicate withothers and comprehend work instructions. Must be able to read and interpret work orders, blue prints, use simple math, and usebasic hand held and measuring tools. Basic computer skills required to use a keyboard to open appropriate screens, enterdata, save and print tags and production sheets; also have to know how to scan and savedocuments. Be an effective team player as well as an independent worker.Physical Demands: Light to moderate physical effort required involving lifting, pulling, pushing and bending. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility.Personal Protective Equipment: Safety Glasses must be worn at all times. Steel toe safety shoes must be worn at all times. Ear plugs must be worn when appropriate.Company DescriptionMany of those employed through JobConnection Services find that their positions are temp-to-hire.
