Job Title: Lease OperatorWork Schedule: 9/5 - 10hType of Job: W2 contractKey ResponsibilitiesOperate, monitor, and prepare maintenance for wells, processing units, and related oil, gas, and water separation facilitiesEnsure personal and coworker safety by following and enforcing all safety rules and proceduresAct as the primary operations contact for assigned facilitiesUnderstand process flow, basic chemistry, equipment line-ups, isolation points, and unit safety equipmentMonitor operations using computer systems, schematics, gauges, meters, and handheld electronic testing equipmentPhysically inspect equipment and work areas to ensure proper operation and identify issuesIssue Safe Work Permits and perform gas testing before maintenance activitiesCollect samples, record production data, monitor pressures, temperatures, levels, flow rates, vibration, and chemical injection ratesAdjust process parameters to maintain product specifications within operating limitsPerform visual and basic maintenance including lubrication, filter changes, valve packing adjustments, and minor equipment servicingInspect and maintain safety equipment such as valves, fire extinguishers, hoses, and breathing apparatusMaintain accurate electronic or paper gauge sheets and document production changesCoordinate oil sales and saltwater hauling as requiredCommunicate operational conditions and changes with the Production ForemanPerform winterization and summerization of equipment to ensure reliability and efficiencyMaintain company vehicles in safe working conditionFollow environmental policies and minimize environmental impact, including emissions and spillsParticipate in continuous improvement efforts and maintain strong job knowledgeWork independently or as part of a team while maintaining reliable attendanceWork rotating shifts and be available for call-outs as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma required; related experience preferredExperience operating, maintaining, and repairing oil and gas surface equipmentComputer proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a multi-cultural team environmentPhysically capable of lifting over 50 lbs and climbing ladders and stairsAble to use SCBA and other safety detection equipment
