Assembler 2This role focuses on assembling metal frames and panels using hand and power tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work as part of a small team to build, fit, and insulate assemblies according to blueprints and measurements while maintaining high quality and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesAssemble frames and panels by using hand and power tools to securely fasten sides and components together.Perform team lifting of panels weighing 50+ lbs and slide them into frames safely and efficiently.Complete hand assembly tasks such as installing nuts on bolts and other small component assemblies.Cut insulation using a utility knife and install it accurately into frames according to specifications.Read and interpret blueprints and use tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure accurate assembly.Use calipers, air tools, and other equipment to verify dimensions and assemble components correctly.Perform basic math calculations to support measuring, cutting, and fitting tasks.Conduct basic quality inspections on assembled products to ensure they meet required standards.Cross-train and assist in the paint department as needed to support production demands.Work on ladders and platform stairs to complete assembly tasks at height when required.Collaborate with a team of 45 people, taking direction from a trained assembler overseeing the workstation.Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall production goals.Essential Skills6 months to 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience.Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools in a production or shop environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints for assembly work.Proficiency in using a tape measure accurately for layout and measurement.Experience using calipers and other basic measuring instruments.Ability to perform basic math to support measuring, cutting, and fitting tasks.Capability to perform quality inspection on assembled components.Comfort with using air tools safely and effectively.Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly as part of team lifting activities.Willingness and ability to work on ladders and platform stairs for certain assembly tasks.Previous exposure to manufacturing environments, with metal manufacturing experience preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with metal components or metal fabrication environments.Prior experience in cross-functional roles such as assisting in paint or finishing departments.Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively in a group of 45 people.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Willingness to learn new processes and cross-train in different tasks within the department.Why Work Here?You will join a collaborative production team where experienced assemblers support your development and help you build your skills. The work is hands-on and physical, involving regular team lifting of 50+ lbs and performing tasks on ladders or platform stairs when needed. You will work closely with a small team of 45 people at a shared workstation, with at least one experienced assembler overseeing the process. The environment is production-oriented, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seguin, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
