All rights reserved.Job PurposeExecutes assigned production tasks in accordance with procedures, to ensure right levels of HSE, Quality, Service and costs.Rewards & BenefitsStarting Pay $25.00 hourly with shift differential for 2nd shift2nd shift Monday - Friday 2.00 PM - 10.30 PMBenefits beginning Day 1401K retirement savings with 6% company matchProgression (pay for skill) pay plansAnnual bonusMedical insurance with HSADental, Vision, Life, AD&D benefitsGenerous vacation, personal and holiday payTuition ReimbursementCareer growth opportunitiesActive Diversity and Inclusion NetworksEmployee referral bonusKey ResponsibilitiesTakes ownership of production assets and ensures they are operated safely and as per established procedures, guidelines and industry good practiceReports safety, quality or other issues related to products or production processes to Team Leader / Shift Supervisor.Maintain storage of raw materials, intermediates and finished goods while obtaining materials needed for batch makers, adjusters, tinters and fill off as needed by production while following all safety guidelines and proceduresBatch makers will order materials needed to make batch from material coordinator or the warehouseMaterials are delivered to a designated area for the batch makerRemaining material is put back where it came from or the empty containers are taken to designated areas for proper disposal or reconditioning.Hazardous waste containers are to be taken to the accumulation area as soon as they are full, labeled and datedKeep yards and storage areas in a neat and clean stateRemove all trash and rags from the building at the end of the shiftMust move to other production tasks operator has been trained to perform as neededOther duties as needed to complete production processMeasure the amount of product into the correct container for proper yield, by weighing and/or measuring the weight of the material in the containers with the tools providedProperly complete the batch ticket as instructed, label all containers, and number them in the sequence they were filled offWeighs/measures all materials used in the process for yield and accuracy of completed batchesJob RequirementsAbility to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and safety guidelinesAbility to read and apply accurate labelsAbility to measure and weigh accuratelyAbility to lift and handle containers such as 5 gallon pails up to 75 lbs, 60 lb bags of pigment or maneuvering drums up to 900 lbsMust have effective interpersonal skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to multi-task and balance prioritiesDedicated and committed safety leadership and presenceAbility to climb stairs wearing steel-toed footwearAbility to work in hot and cold environments and inclement weatherAbility to work in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical agentsMust be able to stand or walk for long periods of timeNear vision- ability to read labels and see details up closePrior experience working in a paint manufacturing facility preferredPrior manufacturing experience 1 - 2 yearsCompetenciesAccepting DirectionAccepting ResponsibilityAcquiring InformationAt AkzoNobel we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best self.
