ETL / DataStage Engineer
6-12+ Month Contract Position Location - Remote We are seeking an experienced ETL / Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that support enterprise data integration and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools—preferably DataStage—and is comfortable working independently while collaborating within Agile teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to support data integration and transformation across multiple data sourcesBuild and optimize workflows using DataStage or similar ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Ab Initio)Collaborate with architects and team members in design discussions and participate in code reviews, contributing practical and scalable solutionsDevelop and optimize complex SQL queries to support data processing and validationEnsure data quality, reliability, and performance across all ETL processesTroubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues; provide production support as neededTake ownership of assigned deliverables and drive tasks through to completion with minimal guidanceActively participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectivesRequired Qualifications5+ years of hands-on ETL/ELT development experienceStrong expertise in DataStage (preferred) or equivalent tools such as Informatica or Ab InitioProven experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data integration pipelinesStrong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or TeradataAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions on timeStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsPreferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of Azure data services, including Synapse Analytics and NotebooksExperience supporting ETL processes in production environmentsFamiliarity with cloud-based data architectures and modern data platformsWork EnvironmentAgile, collaborative team environmentOpportunity to work on complex data integration challengesBalance of independent ownership and cross-functional collaborationThe anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($60-$63/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
