Complex Director of Finance- Hotels

Valor Hospitality is now hiring an experienced Complex Director of Finance. This position will support a group of our hotels and is based in the Atlanta, GA market. This is not a remote or hybrid position. Under direction of the Corporate VP of Hotel Accounting, the Complex Director of Finance will assist with the oversight, management and daily/monthly review of accounting and finance operations of all managed hotels within the organization. Manage all accounting responsibilities including centralized payroll and payables, control compliance, financial reporting, cash management oversight, tax compliance, forecasting, safeguarding assets and business reporting to the investors. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIESSupports General Managers in the achievement of financial goals by direct oversight Supervises/prepares accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports Works closely with Valor Hospitality corporate accounting team to ensure timely reporting and consistency Ensures balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with Valor standard operating procedures Must be willing to “roll up the sleeves” to ensure the work gets done Analyzes available information (financial data, customer data, market trends, etc...) and utilizes the information to achieve financial goals and a competitive edge Leads the creation of accurate forecasts, annual budgets and business plans Administer banking arrangements and lead the preparation of the annual budgets. Prepare monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports/analysis Establish and reinforce a system of effective accounting and operational controls. Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting periodic internal audits; Ensures effective management of cash flow DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience. CPA highly preferred A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in related position. Hotel and/or hospitality experience required.Ability to perform critical analysis and manage wide-range of information. Strong management skills, technical accounting expertise, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the finance and hospitality professions. Possesses experiential knowledge required for management of people and complex problems.Requires ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information and indicate logical conclusions and recommendations and make decisions based on established policies and procedures.
