Hi, Folks, Hope you're doing well,Job Title: Mainframe Operator / Level 1 Incident Manager Location: OAKLAND COUNTY, Michigan – Onsite Duration: Minimum 6 Months Start Date: 05/04/2026 Experience Required: 8+ Years No. of Positions: 1Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Operator who will also function as a Level 1 Incident Manager, responsible for monitoring critical IT systems, managing incidents, and ensuring seamless infrastructure operations.Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage IBM mainframe systems via control consoles Act as the first point of contact for incident management, including: Incident creation Triage and prioritization Escalation and tracking Utilize monitoring tools such as WhatsUp Gold, Pingdom, and PRTG Network Monitor to track system performance and availability Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors using Microsoft Teams Perform routine system checks and ensure infrastructure connectivity Assist in reviewing and validating Job Control Language (JCL) scripts Support operational deliveries and physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs)Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe operations and incident management Strong knowledge of IBM Mainframe environments Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (WhatsUp Gold, Pingdom, PRTG) Proficiency in Microsoft Teams Basic understanding of JCL (Job Control Language) Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
