This role emphasizes leadership in the tenets of people, service, finance, quality, and growth, overseeing administration (Growth), clinical (Service and Quality), financial (Cost), and human resources (People). As the head of the Plant Operations Department, the responsibilities include managing hospital buildings, clinics, and ensuring 24/7 quality service. Compliance with TJC, CMS, and AHJs standards, along with corporate policies and regulations, is crucial. Additionally, the position entails promoting teamwork, maintaining customer satisfaction, and efficient resource management. The role extends to providing direction for Plant Operations, Central Plant, and building systems, overseeing budgets, aiding in facility planning, and maintaining preventive maintenance programs. This leader also coordinates utility sources, manages Life Support systems, and ensures compliance with NFPA, Life Safety Codes, TJC, CMS, and safety requirements, including staff training.Job Specifics:Supervision: Instructs, reviews, assigns and plans work.Accountable for: Meeting current hospital standardsMeeting JCAHO and Title XXII requirementsDemonstrating current knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and proceduresMaintaining good communications and interpersonal relations with patients, community program participants, physicians and hospital employees.Knowledge of CA Healthcare Facilities OperationsKnowledge of and experience working with CDPH and HCAI, including all aspects of Code, Compliance, and Seismic SafetyExperience with Organized Labor, Staffing ProductivityActs as the facility Safety Officer.Direct Reports: engineers and biomedical engineers.Qualifications:Associate degree in facilities related field Required. Trade school education and additional five years trade experience may be considered.Two to three years Managerial Experience in health care environment preferred.10 years progressive management experience with at least five years management experience in hospital/healthcare setting.CHFM Certification required at time of hire or within one year of hire if other qualifications are met.CDL RequiredSkills and CertificationsCHFM CertificationCDL
