Business Lending Manager

Position Summary
The Business Lending Manager assists local businesses in accessing business financing through Prospera’s Revolving Loan Funds. This position is suited for a savvy business professional who enjoys customer service, financial statements, and attention to detail. This position will manage a pipeline of potential loan clients and help them complete a loan application, prepare business analysis, and present loan deals to our loan committee for approval.
With more than $5 million in loan funds, this is a rapidly growing and dynamic program at Prospera. The Business Lending Manager, with support from the Director of Finance and the Prospera Team, will organize and process new business loans while managing all aspects of the loan program from start to finish. Teamwork and coordination with Prospera co-workers and outside bankers is vital.

Desired Qualifications
· A college degree and at least 3 years of direct professional experience that may include program management, business operations, lending, and/or finance.
· Understands the basic principles of business financing and loans.
· Business planning and financial literacy.
· Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Drive and passion for supporting local businesses with financing opportunities.
· Professional communication skills with the ability to articulate information to colleagues, business owners, and local financial institutions.
· Proficient computer skills and general office technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Loans and Business Development
· Work with the Prospera Team to coordinate efforts in preparing businesses for new loans.
· Coordinate with local banks to obtain new loan proposals.
· Gather financial statements, tax returns, projections, and create basic credit analysis as needed for potential borrowers.
· With support from the Prospera Team, prepare complete loan presentations for Prospera’s loan committees.
· Plan and organize loan committee meetings including the agendas, minutes, public notices, and other requirements for meetings.
· Prepare closing documents using Compliance One software.
· Facilitate loan closings working with local banks, title companies, and borrowers to schedule and verify necessary collateral and insurance.
· Complete the loan process by ensuring all liens and other loan filing processes are complete.
· After closing, ensure accurate records are kept for all loan documents and liens.
· Collaborate with the Director of Finance for reporting, budgeting, sub-recipient agreement renewals, and all other processes as needed to maintain a successful loan program.
_ Program Administration and Reporting_
· Provide outreach to clients for loan servicing including maintaining complete loan records/files, obtaining current financial statements, and evaluating business success.
· With support from the Director of Finance, learn and maintain accurate data in Downhome Solutions (loan management software).
· Complete data entry for USDA loan program semi-annually.
· Organize and complete loan audit summaries for partner agencies.
· Meet with and complete filings necessary for the USDA loan program.
Community Outreach
· Build relationships with local commercial lenders to promote the use of Prospera’s Loan Funds.
· Be a positive voice that promotes Prospera and our impact to area business leaders.
· Assist with marketing, communications, and loan client success stories.
· Work with the Prospera Team to develop loan presentations and materials that will promote the RLF program.
· Provide updates and reporting to local governments on the status of their loan funds.
· Work with local governments to assist in their annual audits as needed.
· Attend events to provide information and networking to grow support and use of our loan funds.
Other Duties
· Support Prospera’s workplace culture and core values.
· Collaborate and support Prospera membership, events, and fundraising.
· Maintain administrative processes, procedures, and other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions:
The work week is generally Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, with some variability depending on workload and events. Standing, lifting and some moderate physical requirements (ability to lift 50 lbs.) are necessary along with a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required. This position is based in Bozeman, MT.
