Extrusion Operator

*Job Overview* We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in plastics extrusion, fabrication, and quality inspection within a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. *Duties* * Set up, operate, and monitor plastics extrusion machinery, ensuring optimal performance and product quality * Conduct routine inspections of extruded materials using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers * Perform quality checks throughout the production process, identifying and addressing defects or deviations promptly * Maintain accurate production logs and documentation for traceability and process improvement purposes * Utilize hand tools and fabrication equipment for minor machine adjustments or repairs as needed * Handle materials safely using warehouse experience and materials handling techniques, including forklift operation when required * Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to lean manufacturing principles and participating in team-based problem-solving *Qualifications* * Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics extrusion or plastics blow molding is highly desirable * Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation and troubleshooting * Ability to operate CNC machinery such as CNC lathes or press brake machines is a plus * Hands-on experience with plastics injection molding, machining, or fabrication processes is advantageous * Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments * Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments * Valid warehouse experience including forklift certification preferred for materials handling tasks * Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment * Must be able to work 3rd shift 11pm-7:30 am M-F Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to producing top-tier plastic products through innovative extrusion techniques.
