DescriptionJob Overview:The Warehouse Associate shall act as the receiving/warehouse agent on behalf of Wind Creek Hospitality and is responsible for accurate inventory accounting and the enforcement of Internal Controls, departmental policies and procedures, and Illinois Gaming Regulations. The Warehouse Associate will receive items/product for the property, deliver them to the appropriate department, and properly record and account for those items. The resulting creation of wealth will grow opportunities for all.Duties and Responsibilities:Verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments; Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other recordsUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper, purchasing department and Finance to rectify damages and shortages; Routes and delivers items to departments/appropriate storage locations in a timely and efficient fashionOperates tier-lift truck, fork lift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area; May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipmentsAssigns bar codes/item numbers/date stickers to all merchandise receivedResponsible for processing merchandise receipts, requisitions, and transfers in computerized systemResponsible for the maintenance and filing of documentation supporting Shipping and Receiving transactionsProcesses requisitions, transfers and prepares fill orders for distributionAdheres to warehouse standard operating procedure manual for warehouse departmentMonitors inventory levels to achieve appropriate stock levels and ordering schedulesPerforms daily recaps and generates assigned reportsTakes part in daily, cycle, and month end inventoryOther duties and responsibilities as assignedJob Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying) High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment -requiredMust be twenty-one (21) years of age or older- requiredOne (1) year related warehouse/receiving experience; Knowledge of receiving and storage functions- preferredExperience with computerized inventory/purchasing systems - preferredMust have and maintain valid state-issued operator driver’s license - requiredAbility to use all equipment associated with the position including manual and powered pallet jack, fork lift, hand truck, cart, and electronic scale. Fork lift certification must be completed within 60 days from hire date - requiredMust have willingness and ability to work in an environment to which the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud noise levels, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperature changes (freezers, coolers, etc) and outside weather changesAbility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while observing all safety rules and standardsAbility to plan, organize, prioritize, and carry out work duties with moderate supervisionBasic math skills; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to convert unitsAbility to stand for extended period of times and climb ladders -requiredMust be able to lift and/or move parcels and packages weighing 50 lbs. -requiredWilling to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidaysWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position. Base Pay:Pay range - $15.00 - $18.75 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)Voluntary full-time benefit offerings include the following - group medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as access to a flexible spending account (FSA) option.
