Four Hands is where passion meets purpose and where your next chapter begins.The Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating, redesigning, and optimizing end-to-end processes to improve operational efficiency, predictability, and alignment with strategic operations objectives. This role partners closely with Operations stakeholders to address systemic process challenges and embed continuous improvement across the organization.In This RoleIdentify inefficiencies, redundancies, bottlenecks and areas for automation or simplification for quality and packagingIdentify root causes of inefficiency, rework, delays, and variability using structured problem-solving methodologiesMap and document current state business processes, workflows and systemsTranslate business needs into functional and nonfunctional system requirementsDesign future-state processes, including defining clear handoffs, decision points, business rules, controls, exception handling, and performance metricsGather and analyze system performance metricsDefine and track KPIs to measure process performance and improvement impactCollaborate with cross functional teams to identify process interdependenciesWork with technical teams to design future state processes aligned with business requirements and needsEstablish lean and continuous improvement practices and governance to ensure long-term process health and streamline workflowsOther duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualificationsUphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands TeamBe open and honestReach for excellenceAct with responsibilityValue the whole personEnjoy the journeyThe Ideal PersonBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field2+ years of experience in process improvement, continuous improvement, or quality roleLean Six Sigma, BPM, or similar certificationProficient problem solverProficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (Excel, PowerBI, etc)Strong analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience working with ERP or WMS systems preferred, Microsoft Dynamics and Infios a plusExperience with sustainable packaging or product recycling procedures is a plusAbout Four HandsHeadquartered in Austin, Texas, since 1996, Four Hands crafts furniture, art and décor — pieces that are all about creating space.
