Full-Stack Software Engineer

Title: Full-Stack Software EngineerJob Type: Contract (6 months with possible extensions)Location: Covington, LouisianaOpenings: 2Pay Range: $45-$60Fully On-SiteJob Description:We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Software Engineering team of an EPC firm onsite in Covington, Louisiana. This team is focused on developing custom internal applications that improve efficiency across the company's engineering organization. The ideal candidate is somebody who is a true full-stack engineer with hands-on experience with Python Django on the back end and React on the front end.This role offers the opportunity to work on a mix of new product development, feature enhancements, and ongoing support for existing applications. The team operates in an Agile environment using six-week sprint cycles and maintains a highly collaborative culture where engineers work closely together to solve problems and deliver impactful products. You'll start your day with a 15-minute kick off meeting and then spend the majority of your time designing, developing, and deploying software. With approximately 90% of your time dedicated to hands-on coding and minimal meetings, this is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building software, collaborating with peers, and seeing their work directly improve business operations. This team works a 9/80 schedule.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• 6+ years of software development experience• Experience developing Python Django applications and deploying them into production • Proficiency with React and TypeScript production • Hands on SQL schema design and query work • Experience with Restful API design, implementation, and integration • Familiarity with Docker, AWS, Automated testing, and GitNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• CI/CD pipeline experience• Experience with application maintenance and enhancements• Experience working with engineering, utility, energy, or industrial software domainsExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one ofemployment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
