Sr. Satellite Hardware Development Engineer, Amazon Leo
Overview
In this role you will lead hardware design workstreams for Amazon LEO gateway systems, delivering a ground gateway capable of gigabit data rates. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to define, optimize, and test electronics sub-systems from concept to production. You will own designs and ensure seamless hand-off to manufacturing, contributing to affordable, reliable, high-bandwidth connectivity for unserved communities. This is a ownership-focused role with broad impact on system performance and production readiness.

Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent5+ years of hardware engineering experience5+ years of experience using schematic tools (Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Cadence OrCad, or Altium Designer)4+ years of experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters)3+ years of industry experience in high speed (SERDES, etc.) and/or mixed signal PCBA designexperience working with interdisciplinary teamscross-functional collaborationability to translate design implications for operations, supply chain, and reliabilityhigh-speed PCBA design / SERDESmixed-signal designexperience with high data rate modems, ADCs, DACs, and FPGAs
