Other Physician Assistant

This role is for a Physician Assistant responsible for providing comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic care in a community clinic setting. The PA works under established clinical protocols and state regulations to evaluate patients, diagnose conditions, order tests, and support treatment plans in collaboration with physicians. The position also emphasizes patient education, health counseling, and minor in-office procedures to support overall patient care and wellness.Dates / Schedule:Full-time clinical role in a community clinic settingSchedule based on clinic operational needs (typically weekday coverage)May include standard clinic hours with patient care responsibilities throughout the dayJob Details / Responsibilities:Conduct patient evaluations including medical history review and physical examinationsDiagnose illnesses and injuries and develop treatment recommendationsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imagingPrescribe or recommend medications and therapies with physician approvalDocument patient encounters, progress notes, and medical records accuratelyPerform therapeutic and minor procedures such as immunizations, suturing, wound care, and injectionsProvide patient education on treatment plans, preventive care, family planning, and health maintenanceMonitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed in collaboration with physiciansEnsure adherence to safety, infection control, and emergency protocolsMaintain compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and state regulationsRequired Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor s degree and completion of an accredited AMA-approved Physician Assistant programActive California Physician Assistant licenseCurrent BLS certificationCurrent DEA registrationValid NPI numberMinimum 2 years of clinical experience in a community clinic setting preferredExperience in community health centers or specialty care preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team collaborationAbility to work independently and take initiative in clinical responsibilitiesStrong clinical judgment and ability to interpret complex medical informationConflict resolution and problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriatelyBilingual English/Spanish preferredAbout ATC WestATC West Healthcare Services has been a trusted healthcare staffing partner since 1990, delivering high-touch, relationship-driven clinical staffing solutions across California.
