Our client, a sophisticated, fast-paced, intellectual property litigation boutique, headquartered in New York but having a national presence, seeks an experienced, New York licensed, Copyright/Trademark Plaintiffs’ Litigation Attorney to join its legal team and work with its attorneys to represent major corporations and big brands in litigation pending in the Southern District of New York. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience doing and summarizing relevant legal research; preparing and managing court filings; conducting detailed document reviews; taking and defending depositions; drafting complaints; engaging in motion practice; writing briefs for all stages of litigation; and independently making oral arguments before judges in contested motion hearings. This role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle fast-moving and pressing court deadlines in litigation. Salary for the position is $160,000-$200,000/yr., depending upon experience. Benefits information will be supplied by the employer. The position is remote.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReview, file, manage, and prepare discovery; pleadings; motions; briefs; responses; and court filings of every kind, whatsoever, relating to copyright and trademark disputes.Make in-person court appearances and oral arguments in ex parte or contested hearings.Conduct document review for IP litigation matters, ensuring accuracy and completeness in discovery processes.Research and analyze complex legal issues in IP law, providing clear written and oral recommendations.Collaborate with litigation teams, in-house counsel, and external stakeholders to support case strategy and execution.Ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines, and procedural requirements.QUALIFICATIONSJ.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing (preferably in Pennsylvania and New York; however, licensure in another state is permissible, as long as the attorney applicant is qualified to practice in the Federal District Courts in which the firm has litigation)5-10 years of experience in copyright and trademark law, with a focus on litigation support and document reviewDemonstrated experience preparing and filing court documents in federal courtStrong knowledge of IP litigation processes and case management systemsExcellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet pressing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience with large-scale document reviews and familiarity withECF filing(preferred)Background enforcement (litigation/disputes) (preferred)Prior law firm and/or in-house experience in intellectual property law (preferred) OTHER DETAILSSalary: $160,000-$200,000 (depending upon experience)Benefits: Information available from employerLocation: Remote in the federal districts where the firm’s litigation is pendingPosition Type: RemoteCandidates may apply to this position on LinkedIn, the Hire Counsel website, or by direct e-mail to dadler@hirecounsel.com.
