Product Owner Medical Cost Containment & JIRA Expertise

We tailor our services to each client’s needs, providing everything from individual specialty claims repricing, to full plan replacement as a high-performance, open-access network alternative. Point C is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Product Owner to support the delivery of innovative solutions within the healthcare cost containment space. This role will drive product vision, backlog management, and execution in a fast-paced Agile environment. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on JIRA experience, excels at translating business needs into clearly defined user stories, and can effectively partner with engineering, QA, operations, and compliance teams. Experience in medical cost containment and/or Out-of-Network (OON) pricing is strongly preferred.Primary ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage the product backlog in JIRA, prioritizing features, enhancements, and defects aligned to business value and strategic objectivesWrite clear, concise user stories with measurable acceptance criteria to guide engineering and QA teamsCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (clients, operations, compliance, engineering, QA, leadership) to gather, refine, and document requirementsLead sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and related Agile ceremoniesDefine product roadmap and release plans in alignment with business and regulatory prioritiesEnsure delivered features meet business objectives, operational needs, and healthcare regulatory requirementsAnalyze workflows to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and efficiency improvementsPartner with QA to validate acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality product releasesTrack metrics, risks, and delivery progress; provide clear status updates to leadership and stakeholdersRequired Qualifications3–7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager in an Agile environmentStrong hands-on experience with JIRA, including backlog management, workflows, dashboards, and reportingDemonstrated experience writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteriaDeep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint executionExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skillsAbility to translate complex business requirements into clear technical deliverablesExperience in healthcare technology, healthcare operations, or regulated environments strongly preferredKnowledge of medical cost containment and/or Out-of-Network (OON) pricing is a plusIndividual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, and merit increases.
