Sr. Software Development Engineer

Position Summary Sr. Software Development Engineer at CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, located in Woonsocket, RI. The role focuses on designing and developing software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions. Telecommuting is available and multiple positions are open. Duties Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements. Determine feasibility of solution designs and prepare technical design documentation. Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Write and review high‐quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing. Develop and deploy application components and support unit testing and bug fixes. Participate in Agile Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD processes. Support applications, systems, and databases used to process inventory information for all CVS Stores and Distribution centers for front‐store items. Collaborate with cross‐functional teams on application development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Mentor junior team members. Telecommuting is available for eligible candidates. Requirements Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and at least two years of relevant experience. Candidates must also demonstrate two years of experience in each of the following areas: PL/SQL Writing Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes Unix Agile methodologies Analyzing large data sets from multiple data sources CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, or DevOps practices Oracle, Redis, or Cassandra databases Software development life cycle (SDLC) Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting Domain support for healthcare or retail organization Relational database concepts Software development best practices Pay Range & Benefits Pay Range: $109,512.00 – $203,940.00 per year. The actual base salary will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors. Eligible for bonus, commission or short‐term incentive program, and equity award program.
