This role is ideal for a senior structural professional with strong technical expertise in structural steel design who is looking for a flexible leadership position.The ideal candidate will combine deep engineering knowledge with organizational and operational management skills to ensure efficient project execution and high-quality deliverables.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily engineering office operations and workflow managementReview structural steel design calculations, connection designs, and drawingsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designersEnsure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards (AISC, IBC, ASCE, etc.)Coordinate with clients, fabricators, and contractors to address technical inquiriesAssist with proposal preparation, budgeting, and project schedulingMaintain quality control procedures and document management systemsSupport business development and technical staffing coordination when neededQualifications10–15 years of experience in Structural Steel DesignStrong knowledge of AISC, ASCE 7, IBC, and related standardsExperience with connection design and steel detailing coordinationProficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RAM, RISA, STAAD, ETABS, or similar)Strong leadership and communication skillsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyPreferred QualificationsExperience working with steel fabricators and industrial projectsFamiliarity with estimating and proposal developmentPosition DetailsPart-time (flexible schedule)Competitive compensation based on experience
