We're looking for an experienced Project Controller - Subsea / Offshore Projects to join a high-performing team in North Houston, Texas. You'll play a key role in delivering complex subsea and offshore projects, driving cost control, scheduling, and financial performance while working closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Finance.Job descriptionProject Controller - Subsea / Offshore ProjectsWe're currently looking for an experienced Project Controller to join a high-performing team supporting complex subsea and offshore energy projects.This is a critical role where you'll be at the heart of project delivery-driving cost control, scheduling, and financial performance while partnering closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Finance.What You'll Be DoingYou'll play a key role across the full project lifecycle, including:Cost & Budget ControlDevelop and manage detailed project budgets aligned with contract scopeTrack actual costs vs budget and forecast cost at completion (EAC/ETC)Ensure accurate cost allocation across WBS structuresSupport change management and cash flow forecastingRevenue & Financial ManagementOversee revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion)Coordinate client invoicing and billing accuracySupport AR tracking and financial reconciliationsProvide margin analysis and identify risks/opportunitiesProject Scheduling & PlanningBuild and maintain schedules using MS Project and/or Primavera P6Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risksApply earned value management (EVM) principles (SPI, CPI, variance)Support resource planning and vessel utilization forecastingReporting & KPIsDeliver monthly project performance reports and dashboardsTrack KPIs across cost, schedule, revenue, and productivitySupport month-end close, WIP reporting, and variance analysisPresent insights to internal leadership and stakeholdersRisk & ComplianceIdentify financial risks and support mitigation strategiesEnsure compliance with company policies and contract requirementsSupport audits and continuous improvement initiativesWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or similar5+ years' experience in project controls, cost control, or project accountingStrong background in offshore energy, subsea, marine, or EPC projectsProven experience managing multi-million-dollar project budgetsTechnical SkillsAdvanced Excel (pivot tables, data modelling, Power Query)Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.)Scheduling expertise using MS Project and/or Primavera P6Knowledge of earned value management (EVM)Power BI experience is a plusWhat Sets You ApartStrong analytical mindset with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentConfident communicator-able to translate data into insightsProactive, solutions-driven, and collaborative approachNice to HavePMP, PMI-SP, or AACE certifications (CCP/PSP/EVP)Experience in vessel operations, ROV/IMR, or offshore windExposure to international or matrix organizationsOur CultureOur client is committed to a culture built on Attitude, Courage, and Teamwork (ACT), with a strong focus on HSEQ and continuous improvement.
