Join a team where every meal you make brings comfort, joy, and connection to our residents.Schedule:Full-TimeConsistent hours + supportive team environmentA Role With PurposeAt Spring Arbor Cottages of Salisbury, cooking isn't just a job it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact every single day.We're looking for a talented, self-motivated Cook who takes pride in preparing flavorful, nutritious meals while creating a warm and welcoming dining experience for our Memory Care residents.Areas of ResponsibilityPrepare delicious and attractive food that is colorful and tastefully presented making each meal service an exceptional occasion.Supervise the kitchen under the direction of the Dining Services Director (DSD) and Chef/Lead Cook.Prepare high quality meals consistent with local customs and tastes. Consistently adhere to the standard recipes, the budgeted costs and Company policies.Supervise and/or assist in the proper washing of all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils. Properly maintain all kitchen equipment. Monitor water temperatures and/or chemical compounds as appropriate to ensure the prevention of food borne illness and the spread of communicable disease.Approach residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.Other job duties as assigned see full job description.Required QualificationsMust be a minimum of 18 years of age.High school diploma or equivalent.Must be flexible/adaptable, pay attention to detail, and have a sense of teamwork.Must possess good time management skills and a keen awareness of safety.Must possess current manager's level food handler permit.Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.Preferred QualificationsMinimum one (1) year related cooking experience or equivalent preferred.Some software and computer skills preferred.Easily commutable from Midlothian, Richmond, Chesterfield, Bon Air, Glen Allen, and surrounding areas.Allegro Living, LLC is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAllegro Living, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
