AEM Solution Architect :: Harrisburg, PA (Remote)
AEM Solution Architect 12 Months Contract - Remote at Harrisburg, PASeeking an experienced AEM Solution Architect to evaluate and redefine the Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service implementation. The role involves assessing the current environment, identifying risks, and recommending sustainable support models. The selected candidate will lead an initial assessment and continue as a strategic technical advisor throughout the engagement. The AEM Solution Architect will partner with leadership, engineering, operations, procurement, and vendors to evaluate the platform's current state and shape its future. The role includes leading architecture and solution design for AEM tools like AEM Sites, Assets, and Forms. This position requires deep AEM expertise and excellent communication skills to present complex technical realities to executive and non-technical audiences.Key Responsibilities:Platform assessment and architecture review: Evaluate the current AEM implementation and recommend improvements.Support model and transition planning: Define internal, contractor, and vendor support roles and develop a transition plan.Documentation and knowledge transfer: Establish documentation standards and guide knowledge transfer.Cross-functional collaboration: Work with stakeholders across product, UX, and engineering teams.Architecture support: Translate business requirements into technical architecture.Governance and supportability: Advise on architectural tradeoffs and long-term platform decisions.Stakeholder communication: Provide clear, actionable guidance for executive audiences.Risk and decision support: Analyze platform risks and help leadership make informed decisions.Vendor and contractor oversight: Evaluate vendor responsibilities and provide technical input for future scopes.Required Qualifications:8–10 years in enterprise content management, digital platform architecture, or related roles.Deep hands-on Adobe Experience Manager expertise across architecture, implementation, and support.Strong knowledge of Java, Sling, dispatcher, and front-end integration.Experience assessing complex enterprise platform environments and identifying supportability risks.Experience with vendor-built systems and transition readiness evaluation.Ability to develop technical assessments and documentation strategies.Proficiency with collaboration tools like Confluence, SharePoint, or Azure DevOps.Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting transitions from vendor-led to internal or hybrid support models.Experience in enterprise platform governance and customization standards.Experience in technical procurement and contractor role definition.Familiarity with AEM as a Cloud Service operational constraints.Understanding of AEM security models and accessibility requirements.Relevant Adobe or architecture certifications.
