DescriptionSpecialization:Surgery TraumaJob Summary:HCA Florida Memorial Hospital, in conjunction with University of South Florida, is seeking a Trauma Medical Director to lead a dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team in Jacksonville. Qualified Candidates: Must be board certified in General Surgery with Added Qualifications in Surgical Critical Care. Be a current ATLS instructor Have previous Trauma Medical Director (Associate or Full) experience with state and regional exposure Have a current, or be able to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in Florida - not subject to any restrictions, probationary terms or conditions No history of license to practice being revoked, restricted or suspended by any professional licensing agency in any state or jurisdiction Have current, unrestricted DEA registrationAbout Position: TMD has authority to lead the trauma program and acute care surgery service. Duties are organized around 12-hour primary in-house coverage, plus 12-hour back-up. The acute care surgery team has seven fulltime advanced practice professionals and six fulltime trauma surgeons. The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives.
