Since it opened in 1948, Arconic's Davenport aluminum facility has been at the forefront of American manufacturing. Nestled on the banks of the Mississippi River in Iowa, the plant employs over 2,500 people and is a focal point of the global aluminum industry, with 20 percent of revenues coming from exports.Through continued modernization, including a $300 million investment to increase automotive sheet production, Davenport has maintained its position as the world's premier aerospace supply plant and is today a hub of Arconic's $4 billion aerospace business.The Electrical Engineer will:Coordinate all phases of assigned area electrical engineering projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations, design, manufacturing, equipment commissioning, and project closureLead and participate in problem solving efforts with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance and productionUse PI Vision and Data Link to analyze process issues and provide input to solve process problemsCreate and develop electrical control solutions that will support process improvements and improve equipment reliability.Assist production and maintenance with equipment and process issuesPLC/HMI and controls redesign and upgrades of existing processesInstall and troubleshoot camera systems on industrial equipmentIncorporate SMART Manufacturing principles and tools into automated inspection systems to improve processes, data collection/analysis, and drive quick results in recovery improvementsMay mentor employees to increase their knowledge of equipment and process, when neededWhile this position is a primarily day-shift position, off-hours support will be required as needed.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.Minimum of 3 years' experience designing, installing, maintaining electromechanical systemsEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
