Senior FP&A Analyst

The Senior FP&A Analyst will be responsible for assisting with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities. If gaining experience at a venture-capital-backed company whose mission is to empower the next generation of scientists excites you, read on!ResponsibilitiesActing as a strategic Finance business partner to the leadership teamDevelop, lead, measure and maintain the key KPI’s that drive the most impactful long term business resultsSupport functional business reviews by developing fresh insights and more visual displays of financial and operational KPIs, metrics, trends -- and propose solutions to improve resultsPrepare financial analysis and presentations for the senior leadership teamManage the annual budget and quarterly forecast process, partnering with the CFO to deliver on financial and operational targetsCreate quarterly cadence around segmented profitability analysis to support the global organization and improve marginsWork on special projects and provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysisDevelop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiativesAssist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracyCompetencies & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics or similar.5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.Expert financial modeling and analytical skills.NetSuite, Excel, and Google SheetsA plus if you are highly competent in working with data and programming tools (eg. Tableau, Python, SQL, etc.)Exceptional analytical skills coupled with a solid understanding of business dynamicsModel creation ability and willingness to demonstrate some past modelsStrong communications skills and ability to work cross-functionally and with the senior leadership teamProven track record of delivering on commitments, and working closely & effectively with peers and leaders outside of the Finance teamWhy Labster.We are Labster.
