Position OverviewWe are seeking a C++ Robotics Software Engineer with strong expertise in autonomous systems, perception, and real-time robotics software. This role will focus on developing and scaling C++-based solutions for mobile robots, including perception pipelines, sensor fusion, and safety-critical systems deployed in production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop high-performance C++ software for robotics perception, navigation, and control systemsBuild and optimize sensor-driven systems using LiDAR, cameras, and IMU for real-time decision makingArchitect and implement robot safety and collision avoidance systems in production environmentsDevelop communication interfaces and distributed systems (ZMQ, ROS2) for control and perception integrationImprove SLAM, localization, and mapping algorithms for robust autonomous navigationAnalyze production data, debug field issues, and drive continuous performance improvementsIntegrate machine learning / computer vision models into robotics pipelines while maintaining C++ performance standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with hardware, QA, and controls teams to validate system behavior.Required QualificationsStrong proficiency in C++ (core requirement) with experience in performance optimization and system-level programmingExperience developing robotics software in production environments (AMRs, autonomous vehicles, or similar systems)Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 and real-time distributed systemsStrong understanding of localization, mapping, or SLAM algorithmsExperience working with sensor fusion frameworks (e.g., EKF, UKF, particle filters)Background in computer vision or perception systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience with LiDAR-based perception systems and obstacle detectionFamiliarity with multi-object tracking, object detection (YOLO/CNNs), or transformer-based modelsExperience integrating ML models into production-grade C++ systemsKnowledge of robot behavior planning or motion planning algorithmsExposure to Gazebo, CUDA, Docker, or simulation environments
