Promptly address issues/problems to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPls), such Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.Develop and execute strategies to achieve company goals related to growth, profit improvement, customer satisfaction, employee relations and efficiency improvement. This includes launch of new products and entirely new product lines.Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, OSHA and company policiesManage budget, control costs and execute waste reduction efforts to achieve goals cost effectively.Identify better processes and facilitate product time studies with manufacturing.Identify, justify and implement capital investments and improvement projects.Develop and maintain a positive team-based performance culture that cultivates trust, respect and embraces continuous improvement.Maintain a secure facility to minimize risk and ensure that both employees and production assets are kept safe.Engage with production scheduling and execute the subsequent production schedules to maintain on time delivery and best in class lead times. Work with Human Resources to follow their guidance on appropriate employee laws, evaluations, step progressions, work comp, and disciplinary actionsOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.AUTHORITY:All personnel are responsible for quality and safety. Each employee has both the authority and responsibility to stop production, if necessary, to correct safety or quality problems.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree and five or more years as a plant manager or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceStrong analytical skills and logistical planning skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)Excellent organizational and time management skillsIn-depth knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)Prior experience with continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma &/or Toyota production system, or similar experience at leading teams to achieve measurable improvementsPrior successful experience managing warehouse operationsAbility to review and discuss results of production reports, budgets and financial statementsStrong working knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA requirementsAbility to coach, train and instruct employeesComputer skills with the ability learn/ use company computer systems and effectively communicate using Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Experience with enterprise requirements planning systems. SAP knowledge and background is a plusProactive problem solverPre-employment drug screening test required
