Position InformationClassification Title Student Assistant FLSA Non-Exempt UGA Job Code FTE 0.50 Minimum Qualifications Position SummaryThis position will assist faculty and staff with greenhouse, research and field plots. As well as help with extension and teaching activities. This position will work both indoors and outdoors with minimum supervision. There will also be some work in a greenhouse environment. Duties may also include intermittent out-of-town travel to research plots. Computer experience with word processing, spread sheet, and graphics software is a plus.Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in PositionHigh School diploma/GED; Training will be provided on all processes and equipment when necessary.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesIdeal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and general mechanical aptitude.Physical DemandsLift 50 pounds and work in inclement weather, as needed (i.e., rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.)Is this a Position of Trust?
