Robotics Engineer

We're working with a Series A robotics company (recently closed a $40.5M round) that is building AI-powered robots for deployment in factory environments at significantly lower cost and greater flexibility than legacy automation systems. The team is around 90 people and has a low-ego, high-ownership engineering culture.This is a full-stack robotics position. You will work across the entire technology stack — from firmware through to cloud infrastructure — and your work will be deployed directly into live customer facilities.ResponsibilitiesDevelop real-time robot control software, motion planning systems, and machine learning pipelinesBuild and maintain data labelling tools, perception systems, and compilers for robot intelligenceWork across the robotics stack as needed, from firmware to cloud infrastructureCollaborate closely with a small, technical team to design and ship production systemsSupport deployment of software directly into customer sitesRequirements2–10 years of experience building software for physical robotic systems (e.g. robotic arms, manipulation, or autonomous hardware)Strong programming fundamentals; Python required, TypeScript/React a plusBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related engineering fieldPreferredExperience at an early-stage startup (Series A or earlier)Background in motion planning, perception, or ML for roboticsFamiliarity with ROS, Docker, Kubernetes, or systemdMS/PhD in Robotics, Computer Vision, or Machine LearningCompensation & LocationSalary: $100,000–$300,000, plus competitive equityLocation: On-site, five days per week, in Watertown, MAVisa: Open to visa transfers (e.g. OPT, H1B); not sponsoring new applications
