Training Designer
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Instructor Training / Instructional Design Lead for a remote part-time contract role starting in June 2026.Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Instructor Training / Instructional Design Lead to support an AI & Emerging Technology training initiative by designing and developing a comprehensive AI and automation literacy program for agency staff. This role will build and organize training within an online platform and develop web-based learning assets, instructor-led materials, facilitator guides, and reusable training content that can be sustained after the engagement ends. Responsibilities include developing a structured learning scope and sequence; creating mandatory modules covering responsible use, unacceptable use, policy alignment, and Microsoft Copilot fundamentals; designing optional advanced modules covering prompting, automation concepts, Copilot agents, Power BI, and related Microsoft tools; producing learning objectives, instructional outlines, assessments, facilitator materials, and training aids; recommending tracking and completion approaches; and developing sustainment documentation to ensure long-term program maintenance. All training must align with organizational policy, governance, privacy, security, and Microsoft-first technology standards while enabling staff to confidently and responsibly use approved tools in support of their work.Minimum Qualifications: • 5 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing training curricula • 5 years of experience conducting technical or systems-related training, including software, operational procedures, or related technical instruction • 5 years of experience developing web-based and instructor-led training materials, job aids, videos, or comparable learning assets • 3 years of experience building training in an online platform, including web-based modules, e-learning content, or LMS-based training • 3 years of experience translating technical information into clear training content for technical and non-technical audiences • 2 years of experience designing training related to policy, responsible use, privacy, security, or governance-aligned technology adoption • 2 years of experience supporting Microsoft-based productivity or cloud technology training environmentsPreferred Qualifications: • 1+ years of experience developing AI literacy, automation, digital enablement, or technical adoption training • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Query, or related Microsoft tools • 1+ years of experience creating role-based learning pathways, sustainment materials, or ongoing training programs • 1+ years of experience in public-sector or education-agency environments • 1+ years of experience designing training that builds foundational understanding and practical confidence in emerging technologies such as AI and automationWhat We Offer: Sistema offers competitive pay and solid benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
