Travel Operations Consultant

Job Summary: The Travel Operations Consultant will assist NousTravel's Independent Contractors and clients with booking domestic and international travel arrangements on Sabre. Also required heavy ticketing assistance, exchange help, check and apply correct commission on exchanged tickets, assist in ticketing online bookings (Concur & Atriis), handling cancellations, modifications, and unexpected issues for clients, such as flight delays & cancellations. Heavy knowledge of issuing exchange tickets along with MCO issuance for international bookings. Exit UK knowledge and ticketing is required. Excellent customer service and problem solving required. Must be excellent multi-tasker. Duties/Responsibilities: Training the NousTravel’s Independent contractors and travel agents on new industry standards as well as Sabre training Develops and maintains strong relationships with airline representatives for favorable terms and outcomes in order to assist in resolution of customer issues related to air travel bookings Stays current with changes in the air/ travel and communicates updates to independent agents and travel agents. Responsible for process to maintain accuracy and efficiency in air travel bookings. Oversees the utilization of travel booking systems and technology to optimize workflows. Generates reports for clients and management for strategic decision making. Offers consultations on vendor contracts and guidance on fares, tariffs, commissions and processes As needed, prepares cost estimates for travel, lodging, entertainment, and other accommodations. As needed, books travel and lodging arrangements in Sabre for clients including plane tickets, rental cars, hotels, cruises, and other similar accommodations. As needed, assists in planning and arrangements for clients’ travelers to attend and participate in attractions such as tours, excursions, day trips, and other similar activities Assist with hotel and air rate loading and auditing Assist in ticketing and ticket exchanges Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Understand the need for urgency and adjust workload accordingly based on contractor's or agent’s needs. Ability to make travel and event recommendations based on clients’ interests and personalities. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare schedules and itineraries. Proficient computer and research skills to book travel, lodging, and tickets to attractions. Knowledge of Magnatech, Power BI, Mantic Point and other travel technology tools a plus Regular and dependable attendance required. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous related experience booking domestic and global destinations Travel experience to a variety of destinations preferred. Knowledge of profile tools Knowledge of Sabre or similar GDS Experience reviewing contracts and rates in GDS (preferred) Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
