Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to support speech therapy services within our ABA Clinic in Brookfield, CT. The ideal candidate will work closely with our licensed speech-language pathologist to implement therapy plans, assist in assessments, and provide support to children and students with communication challenges. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to early intervention, pediatric care, and educational programs, ensuring that clients receive effective and personalized speech therapy services. Responsibilities Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering speech therapy interventions tailored to individual client needs. Support therapy sessions for children across various settings, including schools, clinic, and early intervention programs. Prepare therapy materials and equipment necessary for sessions. Monitor and document client progress, recording observations and outcomes as directed by supervising clinicians. Collaborate with educators, parents, and caregivers to facilitate communication goals and strategies. Participate in team meetings to discuss treatment plans and progress updates. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, adhering to safety and hygiene standards. Support clients during activities that promote speech, language, and communication development. Experience Prior experience working with children in clinical, school, or pediatric settings is highly preferred. Experience with pediatric populations, including early intervention programs and school-aged children. Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology related to speech production, anatomy, and medical terminology. Familiarity with IEP processes and experience working within educational frameworks is advantageous. Experience working with students or individuals with communication disorders such as articulation, fluency, voice, or language delays is desirable. Background in acute care settings or pediatrics will be considered a plus but is not mandatory.
