Job Title: SCADA / Controls Engineer (RTAC – acSELerator)Location: Charlotte NC 28202 Duration: Contract (Extension / Full-Time conversion possible)Job Description:About the RoleWe are looking for a SCADA / Controls Engineer with strong hands-on experience in RTAC (Real-Time Automation Controller) systems and acSELerator software. This role focuses on configuring, programming, and integrating control systems within power, utility, or energy environments, including battery storage and substation automation.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and program RTAC systems using acSELerator RTACDevelop and implement control logic for real-time system monitoring and automationIntegrate field devices (relays, meters, inverters, batteries) with SCADA systemsSet up and manage communication protocols such as Modbus and DNP3Perform data mapping, point configuration, and system validationTroubleshoot communication and control system issuesSupport commissioning, testing, and system deployment activitiesCollaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure smooth system integrationRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related fieldHands-on experience with RTAC systems and acSELerator softwareStrong understanding of SCADA systems and substation automationExperience with communication protocols:ModbusDNP3Knowledge of power systems, utilities, or energy infrastructurePreferred SkillsExperience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or renewable energy projectsFamiliarity with substation environments and protection systemsExposure to additional protocols (e.g., IEC 61850)Strong troubleshooting and analytical skillsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesEEO Statement:Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.
