This is a critical, long-term role for a trusted professional who thrives in high-accountability environments and takes full ownership of deadlines, accuracy, and team performance.In this role, you will partner closely with department leadership while managing a team of legal assistants responsible for preparing, tracking, and submitting fee motions. You will ensure every case progresses smoothly, every deadline is met, and every submission meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and financial accuracy.Responsibilities Fee Motion Leadership & Deadline ControlOwn and manage all deadlines related to attorney fee motions, costs, and expenses, including court‑ordered and contractual timelinesMaintain visibility into each case’s progression and proactively resolve risks before deadlines are compromisedEnsure filings comply with federal and state court rules, formatting requirements, and jurisdiction-specific proceduresCoordinate and oversee e-filing activities and confirm successful submissionsMaintain detailed, well-organized records supporting billing, time entries, and financial documentationTeam Supervision & Quality AssuranceLead, coach, and support a team of 5–10 legal assistants, ensuring balanced workloads and consistent outputConduct detailed reviews of billing records, time entries, and cost documentation to ensure accuracy and completenessServe as the escalation point for complex or time‑sensitive mattersMonitor workflow daily to ensure momentum and prevent bottlenecksTrack outcomes and produce operational and financial reporting for managementProcess Improvement & OperationsEstablish and refine standard operating procedures for fee motion preparation and workflow managementIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the departmentEnsure adherence to firm policies, ethical standards, and best practicesAnticipate challenges and implement solutions before they impact performanceIf you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please apply today!
