Lead Java Engineer

Job TitleLeading IT Mediation and Integration Software Development Enablement TeamEnsuring that the on boarding and use of Software development technologies are efficient and seamless to the solutions product teams. Responsible for ensuring technology solutions are designed to meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional, and operational readiness use cases. This position is responsible for ongoing development, maintenance, support and architecture of existing systems and platforms. This position provides thought leadership and champions software architecture, software engineering best practices, innovative solutioning and Agile and Dev Ops best practices.Must have technologies: Java, Gradle, Git, Spring-boot, Microservices, Avro, DevOps, and Realtime Message services. Nice to have technologies: Kafka, RabbitMQ, GitHub workflows, Cloud Foundry, GCPResponsibilitiesEnsuring technology solutions are designed to meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional and operational readiness use casesOngoing development, maintenance and support of existing systems and platformsProviding thought leadership and championing software engineering best practices, innovative solutioning and Agile and Dev Ops best practicesOwning technology solutions within area, including proactive monitoring and alerting, technological roadmap communication of overall health and future sustainabilityPartnering with Architecture, Infrastructure and Security to ensure excellence in solution design and evolution of systems architectureWorking with other tech leads to align on technologies and best practicesWorking with Product Owner and Scrum Master on roadmaps and goals for M&I teamCoaching and empowering Jr. Developers.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required8 years of extensive technical experience in variety of application development or package software implementationsProven experience of ongoing education related to technology trends within software development and supportProven experience with multiple development and support methodologiesAbility to manage work direction and lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within teamAdditional QualificationsAbility to drive innovation and be forward thinkingExcellent written, technical, and verbal communication skillsEstablished presenter of technical and non-technical material adapted to the respective audienceAbility to transition abstract concepts into comprehensive technical solutionsStrong problem-solving and business analysis skillsStrong traits of decisiveness and judgmentExcellent documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer EngineeringExperience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.
