Team Relations ManagerXPRIZE is seeking an experienced Team Relations Manager to play an integral role during the Team Recruitment phase of the Accelerate Learning Prize. This person will lead external communications with potential competing teams during the first year of the competition, become intimately familiar with the prize guidelines to answer inbound questions, and, in coordination with the internal team, answer technical questions about the prize. They will liaise with IT on implementation and customization of the Prize Operations Platform (POP) for team recruitment. They will develop high-quality recruitment status reports for the team and the sponsor. Contribute ideas to the team recruitment strategy, execute team outreach and recruitment webinars, and develop materials for team recruitment.Team Relations Responsibilities:Support the development and execution of the team recruitment strategy in coordination with the rest of the operations team and marketingLead communication efforts with potential and future competing teamsCommunicate on complex technical topics related to education in collaboration with the rest of the operations teamDevelop materials for team recruitment, respond to team questions, and host webinarsAssist in tracking and organizing inbound public comments on the competition Guidelines.Participate in relevant online community discussions to drive participation in the prizeIdentify and participate in industry events virtually and in-person, representing the prize to expand the ecosystemOrganize and lead team recruitment calls and webinarsWork closely with IT to customize XPRIZE's online competition portal (Prize Operations Platform, aka "POP") for team management, prize submissions, and judgingMonitor and manage the team Slack channelEnsure alignment of team activities with competition guidelines and other competition documentsSupport other project management activities as neededQualifications:4-6 years of relevant professional experience managing external communities, project management, competitions, and related projectsBachelor's degree required or equivalent relevant experienceExperience managing or supporting projects in India or Sub-Saharan AfricaExperience with community managementExperience managing and customizing technology platformsDirect experience and knowledge in the domain of educationCurious, motivated, and interested to learn more about the rapidly expanding world of education innovationAbility to lead or co-lead senior-level meetings, webinars, workshops, etc.Experience building and working with partner organizations and external communitiesExcellent business and technical writing and professional verbal communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and situational awarenessAbility to travel 15% of the time, domestically and internationallyAbility to thrive and think creatively and calmly in highly fluid situations and under intense schedules and deadlinesCompetencies required for this role:Action OrientedManages AmbiguityCollaboratesCommunicates EffectivelyCustomer FocusDrives EngagementGlobal PerspectiveInterpersonal SavvyBuilds NetworksOrganizational SavvyResourcefulnessSituational AdaptabilityInstills TrustOptimizes Work ProcessesManages ConflictNimble LearningThe anticipated base salary for this position is $80k to $100k and may also qualify for an annual incentive. This role is eligible for our extensive benefits package and generous paid time off including vacation, sick, and holidays. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience for the role, level of education attained, and certifications and/or other licenses held.
