Part-time Faculty in Human Biology
The Biology Department seeks a qualified part-time instructor to teach sections of BIO 204 - Human Biology and Disease, a non-majors course for undergraduate students.
BIO 204 - Human Biology and Disease introduces students to the fundamental concepts of human biology, including organ systems, common diseases, and available treatments. Topics also include the clinical trial process and emerging medical advancements. Course objectives are designed to develop students' understanding of how the human body functions in health and disease, familiarize students with various experimental approaches through hands-on laboratory activities, and build skills in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication through group research projects. Three hours per week.
A Master's degree in a related field is required. Applicants must demonstrate a record of successful university teaching. Additional qualifications include professional development activities that maintain currency in the teaching field, such as continuing education, workshops, consulting, and/or attendance at professional conferences.
