Quality Engineer
*Overview*
Our client is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our Quality department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance with standards.
* Lead and facilitate quality personnel and quality judgment decisions.
* Manage customer, internal, and supplier corrective actions.
* Participate in APQP activities.
* Travel as needed to customers, Triangle facilities, and suppliers for quality-related issues.
* Create Quality Plans, including PFMEA’s and Control Plans.
* Manage and procure gages, fixtures, and other quality-related resources.
* Assist in customer audits and Run at Rates (R@R’s).
* Participate in training of quality personnel.
* Engage in Change Control processes.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and push carts weighing 80-100 lbs.
* Proficient with common tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).
* Ability to read and interpret CAD, drawings, Process Flows, PFMEA’s, Control Plans, and gages.
* Effective communication skills in English; Spanish preferred.
* Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.X.
* Ability to solve problems and analyze capabilities (Minitab preferred).
* Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools & CQI’s and Blueprint Reading/GD&T.
Pay: $33.65 - $38.46 per hour
